I’m a Senior Applied Scientist at Wordly AI, where I work on applied AI and natural language processing. My research and engineering focus on building intelligent systems for language understanding, transcript summarization, audio analysis, and speech technologies that serve thousands of users worldwide.
Previously, I was a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Gartner, where I led the development of advanced NLP and GenAI solutions for analyzing global labor market data. My work included building LLM-powered pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and agentic AI workflows to extract actionable insights from millions of job postings.
I received my PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Valencia (UPV), Spain, where I was fortunate to be supervised by Professors Paolo Rosso (El-Jefe) and Francisco Rangel (El-Jefazo). My doctoral research focused on detecting information disorder, including figurative language (e.g., irony and satire), hate speech, fake news, and profiling users who spread misinformation. My PhD thesis is available here.
Outside work, I enjoy running (inspired by Simone Paolo Ponzetto) and playing beach/indoor volleyball whenever I get a chance.
